Sandy Stiles spoke at our Retreat. As an older Christian, both in physical and spiritual age, I remain in awe of all that God can and still does, teach me.
Though I am many years Sandy’s senior, I find her ability to teach all ages amazing! Her wisdom and her dedication to sharing God’s word knows no boundaries…not in age, culture nor in social standing…. The truth behind this fact is that God’s word is a “fits all sizes” kind of truth, and Sandy reflects this in her teaching.
Two teachings from this retreat that have taken root in my heart are these:
First is to never accept Second Hand Information…. While I have always believed this concept, and have taught it as well, Sandy’s presentation of this truth was new and fresh and indeed, it renewed my commitment to seeking and proving all scripture for myself; not to simply “accept” what someone says, no matter how important a person they are or how many credentials they may have hung in their office.
The second and perhaps the most important is this: I don’t have to buy into satan’s lies. I am in a spiritual battle, and according to scripture, my battle is NOT against flesh and blood, but instead, it is against the principalities, powers, rulers of darkness and against the spiritual wickedness in the heavenly places….
(Ephesians 6:12)
Knowing this in my mind and applying it with my heart are two very different things….How many time have I read, studied and even taught this passage? Yes God in all of His wisdom, brought Sandy Stiles to this retreat to “teach” me the real truth about this battle and went on to teach “me” how to overcome it….
Sandy gave me the tools that I have so desperately needed in fighting this war….her method of journaling and claiming God’s promises against the lies that satan would have me believe, has truly changed my life for the better….
Thank you Sandy for your willingness to follow God’s call upon your life; and Thank You God, for continuing to teach this “older Christian” how to live Your Word…

I have known Sandy Stiles for more than 10 years. I know a lot of her testimony because I was a part of some of it. However, the first time I heard her speak to a group of ladies I was blown away by the impact she had on the audience. At that time it was only her personal testimony at a women’s retreat – it wasn’t an official engagement, she was simply sharing from her heart. The presence of the Holy Spirit was palpable and the audience was deeply moved. Afterwards, many women came up to her and told her that she was speaking straight to them and how it had deeply affected them. Over time, as God called her into teaching and speaking to women and teenage girls, her speaking style has only become more polished although the presence of the Holy Spirit has never waned. She has a personality and energy that speaks to all ages and all types of women. She always speaks from her heart and under God’s direction. Even knowing her as well as I do, I have never left one of her speaking engagements or classes without hearing God speak through her. As Sandy started to share the message of God’s redemption in her life, I was undone. It was a story of how God had taken a life that was a mess and was using it to bring Him glory. Reminding the women that we are all on a level playing field no matter what kind of “sins” we had committed. To those who had always been the “good, church girls” to those of us who have strayed far, she reminded each of us that “Jesus had to die for you.” She challenged us in our relationships with God and others. She was not only open and honest but so willing to share out of her bad choices and heartaches so others could be pointed to her King. Jesus Christ is the way, our ONLY way! Christ in her, the hope of glory- Christ in me the hope of glory- the only hope!

Hundreds of women where blessed by the way she modeled “total abandonment for her King” She is living for him and shining brightly to a lost and hurting world. She spoke about how Christians are more than conquerors. What a live changing message she presented!
